Genista acanthoclada DC., it is a erect, spiny shrub, up to 1 m tall, with opposite or sub opposite branches. Leaves 3-foliolate, subscssile, leaflets 5-10 x 1-3 mm, narrowly oblanceolate, adpressed pubescent. Flowers in short, tenninal racemes borne towards the ends of spiny branches, bracteate, yellow, pedicels 1-2 mm long, bracteoles less than 1 mm. Calyx 2.5-5 mm long, sparsely sericeous, the lips almost equalling the tube. Standard 6-10 mm, shorter than the keel. Pods ovoid. c. 9 mm, acuminate, adprcssed-hairy, 1-seeded.  Life Form: N.Ph,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern: ————,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is E. Medit.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
