Lupinus angustifolius L. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Lupinus varius L., it is an annual herb, up to 20-50 cm, with applied hairs. Leaflets linear-oblong, flat, glabrous above, pubescent below. Dark blue flowers, 12-14 mm long, alternate, fairly close together, in slightly interrupted clusters, pedicels shorter than calyx tube. Calyx bracteolate, with bipartite upper lip, much shorter than the entire lower one or with 2-3 denticles, keel abruptly curved and with a long beak. Pods wide, 10-12 mm, with wavy upper suture, with 4-5 large seeds (6.04-7.52 x 5.06-6.11 x 3.75-5.18) mm, smooth, matte, with a rectangular-rounded to subreniform outline, somewhat compressed, marbled with black, ivory and delimited areas with a labyrinthine pattern inside. Thread c. 1 mm long, ovate, sunken, enclosed by a wide annular ridge. White ivory-white lens, prominent, located at c. 2–2.2 mm of the thread.
