| Erodium malacoides (L.) L’Hér., it is an annual herb, taproot, and stems 10-40 cm, lying or ascending. Leaves oval, obtuse, somewhat heart-shaped at the base, all crenate or superficially lobed, or the lower ones sub-trilobed. Lilac flowers, 3-8 in umbels on peduncles longer than the leaf, pedicels 2-4 times longer than the calyx, bracteoles broadly ovate-obtuse. Sepals mucronate, with 3-5 veins. Petals obovate, not contiguous, little beyond the calyx, filaments of stamens glabrous. Fruit beak 2-3 cm long, slender, edges at 4-5 turns. Life Form: Th, Flowering in: Feb-Apr, Vern: Rogma, Phytochoria: MED+IT, The native range of this species is Macaronesia to Pakistan and Somalia. Notes: Wild in Libya.
