| Juncinella capitata (Weigel) Záv.Drábk. & Proćków/ Homotypic Synonyms: Juncus capitatus Weigel, it is an annual plant, up to 12 cm tall, with filiform, culms and small, linear, non-septate, ± plane cauline leaf-blades. Inflorescence usually a terminal, 3-8 flowered, 5-9 mm diam. glomerule, lower bract leaf-like, exceeding the glomerule. Flowers c. 3.5 mm long, bracteolate, usually deistogamous, tepals lanceolate, sub equal, outer acuminate-subulate, keeled, inner c. 213 of the outer ones, scarious-hyaline, with sub obtuse apices. Stamens 3, c. half as long as the tepals, Anthers c. 1 mm long. Style with longer stigmas, exceeding the tepals. Capsules ovate-subglobose, subtrigonous. 3-locular, shortly mucronate, brownish. Seeds c. 0.3 mm long, ellipsoid-ovate, without appendages, brownish.
