Scutellaria rubicunda Hornem., it is a perennial herb, 15-30 (-40) cm tall. Stems slender, branched, erect, shortly stipilate-glandular above, especially in inflorescence. Petioles 1-3.5 cm long, lamina crenate, ovate, obtuse, upper ones 4.5 x 3.5 cm, lower ones 1.5 x 1 cm, glabrous to velutinous. Flowers, in long lax, racemose inflorescence. Bracts leafy, 0.7-1.5 x 0.4-1 cm, petiolate, oblong or ovate, entire, shorter than the flowers. Calyx with numerous long while, eglandular hairs. Corolla 10-15 mm long, whitish with violet to purplish mottled tips. Nutlets minute, subglobose, black and tuberculate.
