Teucrium brevifolium Schreb.,   it is a subshrub, similar to Teucrium fruticans L.  but not more than 60 cm long, much branched: twig adpressed canescent green or brown. Leaves sessile, linear-oblong, 6-8 x 3 mm, obtuse, revolute-margined, and greyish-tomentose on both sides. Flowers axillary, opposite, in short terminal racemes. Calyx campanulatem unequally, 5-toothed, c. 6 mm long, puberulent. Corolla c. 10 mm long, pale mauve with purple veins. Anthers purplish. Fruit obovoid 2.5 x 1.5 mm, pale brown, reticulate punerulus. Life Form: N.Ph,   Flowering in: MED, The native range of this species is S. & E. Medit.    Vern: Jaada,   Phytochoria: MED,  Notes: Wild in Libya.
