Plantago ciliata Desf., it is an annual, acaulcscent or sub acilulcscent, branched herb, 4-11 cm tall, densely floccose. Leaves in rosettes, 1.5-9 x 0.4-1.1 cm, obovate or lanceolate-spathulate, cuneate, base vaginate-dilated, apices hardened, acutish, entire, and floccose. Scapes 1-9 cm long, thick, decumbent, ascendant or arcuate, densely villous: spikes 1-2 cm long, dense, ovoid or short cylindrical. Bracts ovate, obtuse, 3.5 mm long, with a green midrib, margin ciliate, keeled. Sepals obovate, 3 mm long, villous at margin and apex. Corolla lobes palent, lanceolate, 1.5 mm long, acute. Capsule sub globose.  Seeds 1.65–2.5 x 1–1.1 x 0.5–0.65 mm, mucilaginous, cymbiform (navicular), ± elliptical in outline, sometimes mucronulate; dorsal face convex, ventral face canaliculated, with the thread located towards its middle part. Surface somewhat shiny, dark amber brown, honeycomb-reticulated, with the pattern only perceptible under high magnification.
