Veronica agrestis L., it is a procumbent or decumbent, pubescent annual, 5-30 cm tall. Leaves ovate with ± truncate base, crenate or crenate-serrate, 5-15 mm long, shortly petiolate, mostly alternate but the lowest opposite. Flowers solitary axillary, usually whitish; pedicel 5-15 mm long, usually recurved in fruit. Calyx ovate to ovate-lanceolate, somewhat obtuse, not overlapping at the base. Corolla 1-6 mm in diameter, usually with blue or pink upper lobe. Capsule 2-lobed with parallel lobes and a distinct narrow sinus, not or slightly keeled, sparsely glandular-hirsute, 1-4 x 4-6 mm; style c. 1mm long, not, exceeding the sinus. Seeds many broadly elliptical concave on one side 1.5 x 1.25 mm.
