Anthyllis subsimplex Pomel / Heterotypic Synonyms:  Anthyllis henoniana Coss. ex Batt., it is a small shrub up to 12-40 (-60) cm tall, much branched with branched woody, apprised white-silky with small hairs. Leaves (1-) 3- foliolate, the terminal leaflet larger than the others, oblong up to c. 15 x 5 mm. the other 2 (or the lower 2) laterals distant, much smaller, near the base of rachis which becomes broad and ± sheeting at base, rachis up to c. 1.5 cm long. Flowering heads (1-) 4-8-Flowered. axillary or on inconspicuous to conspicuous peduncles, subtending bracts 3-5, leaflet-like, just below the flowers. Flowers usually white-pink or purplish (or yellow?), 10 mm long. Calyx 6-7 mm long, tubular-campanulate. densely hirsute with hairs up to 2 (-3) mm long, teeth triangular-subulate, c.1\2  as long as the tube. Pod 1-seeded, included wilhin persistent calyx.  Life Form: N.Ph,   Flowering in: Jan-Apr,   Vern:————,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is Algeria to Libya.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
