Calobota saharae (Coss. & Durieu) Boatwr. & B.-E.van Wyk / Homotypic Synonyms: Spartidium saharae (Coss. & Durieu) Pomel, it is a shrub up to 1-2 m lall, almost leafless, branched with elongated, striated. ± rigid branches. Leaves simple, caduceus, glabrescent. Flowers in lax, terminal racemes, yellow, pedicellate, 1 cm long, pedicels 24 mm, capillary, often reserved at apices, deflexed in fruit. Calyx 3-4 mm long, campanulate, 5-dentate with short. ± triangular teeth, glabrous, standard recurved, c. as long as the keel. Pods 25-50 11×10 mm. flat, compressed, wilh thickened sutures and somewhat membranous valves. glabrous, oblong, few-seeded. Life Form: N.Ph, Flowering in:————–, Vern:—————— , Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is N. Africa. Notes: Wild in Libya.
