Convolvulus althaeoides L. , it is a perennial plant. Stems up to 100 cm or more, slender, trailing or twining, herbaceous. Leaves petiolate, very variable in shape; the basal ones ovate-deltate, cordate at base, crenate; the upper ones deeply lobed and cordate to sagittate. Peduncles axillary, 1–4-flowered; bracteoles linear-lanceolate. Calyx lobes with scarious margin. Corolla usually pink. Capsule c. 9–10 x 5–6 mm, glabrous. Seeds,  5 x 3.5–4 mm. Life Form: H, Cli,   Flowering in: Mar-Jun,   Vern: Ullag,   Phytochoria: MED+SA, The native range of this species is Macaronesia, Medit. to Chad.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
