Erodium guttatum (Desf.) Willd,  it is a perennial herb with an ascending stem, 10–35 cm long, shortly hairy. The leaves are petiolate, triangular to ovate in outline, 1–3 cm long, heart-shaped or truncate at the base, the lower leaves are usually only serrated or toothed along the edge, the upper ones are sometimes 3–5-lobed, also serrated, hairy, grey-green. Inflorescence grows from leaf axils; 2-5-flowered, bracts are triangular, pointed, and hairy. Sepals lanceolate to ovate, 7.5–9.5 mm long, corolla 9–12.5 mm long. Petals obovate, deep violet or violet blue with black center, 12-14 x 5-8 mm. hairy at the base . Stamens up to 5.2 mm long, purple, anthers dark purple, stigma purple to black. The fruits are dehiscent, the mericarp are up to 1.1 cm long, hairy, the beak is 6.5–9.5 cm long.  Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Mar-Apr,   Vern: Dahma,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is Spain (Yunquerra), Mauritania to Israel.    Notes: Wild in Libya, rare or under-collected in Libya
