Erodium moschatum (L.) L’Hér., it is an annual or biennial herb, more or less hairy-glandular, with a strong musk odor. Stems 10-40 cm, robust, spreading-ascending. Leaves long, pinnately shaped, with spaced segments, ovate, incised-toothed, sub etiolate. Lilac-red flowers, 4-8 in umbels on long peduncles, bracteoles ovate-acute, not acuminate. Sepals briefly mucronate. Petals equal to or slightly exceeding the calyx, equal, entire, filaments of the stamens glabrous, the fertile ones dilated and bidentate at the base. Beak 3 4 cm long, edges at 8-10 turns.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-May ,   Vern:—————-,   Phytochoria: Cosm, The native range of this species is Macaronesia, W. Europe, Medit. to Iran and Ethiopia.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
