Ononis ornithopodioides L., it is an annual plant 5-25 cm, slender, erect or ascending, pubescent-glandular. Leaves trifoliate, petiolate, with oval or oblong leaflets, the terminal petiolate, stipules ovate, entire, 3-4 times shorter than the petiole. Yellow flowers, small, axillary, in long, loose, leafy clusters, peduncles articulated, ridged, often also long as the leaf. Calyx with setaceous lobes, 5-6 times longer than the tube. Corolla not equaling or exceeding the calyx. Pods 18-22 mm by 3, long protruding, pendulous, linear-arched, compressed, bumpy, pubescent, with 5-10 small, tubercular seeds.
