Scolymus hispanicus L., it is a biennials or perennials plant to 80 cm high, the stem wings not continuous, margins spinose, little, if at all, white or thickened, the leaves 4–20 cm long, 1.5–7 cm wide., Life Form: H , Flowering in: Apr-Jul ,   Vern:——– , Phytochoria: MED , The native range of this species is Medit. to W. Iran.  Notes: Wild in Libya. medicinal and culinary uses.
