Sideritis romana L.// Infraspecifics: Sideritis romana ssp. romana, Sideritis romana ssp. purpurea (Talbot ex Bentham) Heywood,  Sideritis romana ssp. curvidens (Stapf) Holmboe/ Homotypic Synonyms:  Sideritis curvidens Stapf,         it is an annual herb, up to 3-15 cm, softly pilose, simple or branched from base. Vertieils occur from base of stem. Leaves few, soft-hairy, 0.5-1 x 1-2.5 cm, obovate-oblong, crenate-dentate, obtuse, and ending in a petiole. Floral leaves oblong, faintly dentate or entire, stiffly mucronate. Venicils remote, 4-6-flowered. Calyx strongly saccate at base, obscurely veined, ± 2-lipped, uppermost (posterior) tooth broadly ovate, other teeth smaller, triangular, teeth curved, acute, not pungent, ending in a recurved awn. Corolla white, included, upper lip linear, short.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-Apr,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Medit.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
