Stachys ocymastrum (L.) Briq., it is an annual herbaceous species, with an erect habit and hirsute clothing. Stems up to 40 cm high, usually branched. Basal leaves petiolate, ovate, crenate, obtuse, with a slightly cordate base; the stems are short petiolate. Whorls equipped with 2–6 flowers, the upper ones arranged tightly, the rest loosely. Foliaceae, sessile bracts. Calyx hirsute, with five almost equal ridged teeth. Corolla clearly protruding from the calyx, bi labiate; upper lip erect, almost bi lobed, white; lower lip three-lobed, creamy yellow, tinged with purple inside. Nucules gray, obovoid, trigonal, with a rounded apex, with the dorsal surface slightly convex and the two ventral surfaces ± flat. Minimally reticulate-foveate surface with scattered warty/ mammilaceae projections.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-Jun,   Vern:————–,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Macaronesia, Medit.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
