Teucrium barbeyanum Asch. & Taub. ex E.J.Durand & Barratte, it is a suffrulescent perennial herb, much branched. Young stems c. 10-15 cm long, ascending, whitish tomentose. Leaves 10-12 x 4-5 mm, oblong, cuneate at base, obtuse, crenate, and revolute margined, adpressed puberulous above, cancscent- tomentose beneath. Bracts small, narrowly oblong, entire or obsoletely crenate above. Inflorescence often lax secund, verticils 4-6-flowered with short internodes. Flowers white or pink, 12-15 mm long, pediculate. Calyx 6-7 mm long, longer than pedicels, tubular-campanalute, ± curved below sub gibbous, glandular-hairy, sub equal, triangular-lanceolate, acute ½ as long as tube. Corolla tube included, lower lip villous-glandular outside, Stamens long, excreted, aureate ± glandular hairy below.   Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern: Jaada,   Phytochoria: Endemic, The native range of this species is Libya.   Notes: Wild in Libya, endemic to Al-Gabal Al-Akhder area.
