Trifolium isthmocarpum Brot., it is an annual herb, up to 20-40 cm, glabrous, prostrate-ascending, with hollow stems. Leaflets obovate, denticulate, stipules oval, suddenly contracted into an elongated point. White or pinkish flowers, quite large, always erect, in fairly large, globose, tight heads, axillary peduncles, longer than the leaf; pedicels short, barely equaling the tube of the calyx. Calyx glabrous, with slightly unequal teeth, spreading after flowering, barely longer than the tube, narrow standard, 1-2 times longer than the chalice, protruding pods, constricted in the middle, with 2 seeds.   Life Form: Th,   Flowering in:———,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Madeira, W. & Central Medit.     Notes: introduced in Libya ?????.
