Trifolium scabrum L., it is an annual herb,   from 5 to 30 cm, spreading then ascending, leaves 3-fold, and the partial leaves obovate, approx.1 cm long, lateral veins bent back at the edge. Inflorescences ovate, approx.  0.7 to 2 cm, generally 3 to 6 per branch. Flowers whitish, ± sessile. Corolla whitish or washed with pink, a little shorter than the calyx of 5 to 7 mm with spreading teeth and almost spiny when mature. 1-sheathed pods of approximately 1.5 mm.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Jan-Apr,   Vern:————–,   Phytochoria: ES+MED+IT, The native range of this species is Macaronesia, Europe to Caucasus, N. Africa to Iran.    Notes: Wild in Libya.
