Trifolium subterraneum L., it is an annual herb, up to 5-25 cm, softly hairy, slender, lying-spreading. Leaves all long petiolate, leaflets large, inverted heart, almost entire, stipules ovate-acute. Flowers whitish, reflexed, fertile 2-5 in loose, pedunculated, spaced, axillary heads, reflecting and 5 sinking into the ground after flowering, glabrous tube, ciliated teeth, equal, setaceous, flexose, at the end spreading, equal to the tube, emarginate standard, 1 time longer than the chalice.
