Veronica hederifolia L., it is an ascending to decumbent, usually densely branched annual, 10-60 cm long. Leaves ± fleshy, petiolate, sub orbicular, 3-7 lobed, with a large terminal lobe, mostly alternate but the lowest opposite, 7-15 (-20) x 8-16 (-24) mm. Flowers solitary axillary, blue or liliac; pedicel ± exceeding the bracts. Calyx segment 4-6 x 4-5 mm, cordate ovate, acute, somewhat erect in fruit, glabrous on surface, strongly ciliate on margins. Capsule c. 4 x 4 mm, subglobose, slightly 4-lobed, glabrous with 0.3-1.1 mm style. Seeds ellipsoid to globose, 2-4 per capsule, bright yellow, 2.3-3.3 x 2-3 mm, strongly rugose with an involute, thinner and broader margin.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Feb-Jun ,   Vern:——————,   Phytochoria: S-Cosm , The native range of this species is Macaronesia, Europe to Medit. and Central Asia.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
