Coronilla valentina L., it is a subshrub 40-80 cm, glabrous, glaucous, erect, branched, branches flexuous, hard, full, leaves imparipinnate, close together, with 3-6 pairs of oblong, wedge-shaped leaflets, notched, the lower pair spread from the stem, stipules large, kidney-shaped, mucronate, wider than the leaflets, deciduous. Yellow flowers, quite large, umbels on peduncles twice as long as the leaf, pedicels almost 1 time longer than the calyx with short, unequal teeth, tabs equaling the chalice, with 4-7 articles in a spindle, with 2 obtuse angles, separating easily. Pods 10-50 mm, segments 1-10, 5-7 mm, fusiform, subcompressed, with two obtuse angles. Life Form: N-Ph, Flowering in: Feb-Apr, Vern:———–, Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Medit.
