| Medicago rugosa Desr., it is an annual herb 15-30 cm, prostrate or ascending, pubescent-glandular, Leaflets obovate, toothed in the upper part, stipules lanceolate, toothed. Yellow flowers, small, 2-4 on awned peduncles shorter than the leaf, pedicels equal to the tube of the calyx, wings equal to the hull. Medium pod (7-10 mm in diameter), glabrous at the end, not spiny, discoid, not perforated in the center, with flat faces provided with radiating veins thickened towards the circumference, with 2-3 tight whorls, with a thick edge obtuse, yellowish when ripe, with kidney-shaped seeds, smooth.
