Gagea fibrosa (Desf.) Schult. & Schult.f., it is a bulbous geophyte plant, bulb tunicate usually enveloped in the root system, tunics coriaceous, basal leaves 1-2, longer than inflorescence, narrow, linear ± canaliculate c. 10 cm long, glilbrous to pubescent, braets leafy, linear-acuminate. Scape very short, 1-2 cm long; inflorescence, umbelled-corymb, 1-3-flowered, pedicels hairy, varying in length, 0.7-4 cm long. Perianth segments narrow-lanceolate, 2-3 cm long, yellow inside, pubescent, green with yellow margins outside. Stemens 1/ 2-2/3 as long as tepels, filaments filiform, with yellow anthers. Ovary elongate, style as long as to slightly longer than stamens with capitate, obscurely trilobed stigma. Capsule ovoid oblong 1-1.5 cm long.   Life Form: G,   Flowering in: Feb-Mar,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is N. Africa.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
