Serapias vomeracea (Burm.f.) Briq., it is a tuberous geophyte, perennial, up to 10 to 60 centimeters high and has two underground globular tubers. It has 4 to 7 leaves. The lower leaves are up to 20 centimeters long and usually narrowly lanceolate. The 2 upper leaves have purplish-brown spots just like the bracts and flowers. The inflorescence consists of three to ten flowers. The front part of the lip is 2 to 3 centimeters long and up to 1 centimeter wide.  Life Form: G,   Flowering in: Mar-Apr,   Vern:————–,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is S. Central & S. Europe to W. Türkiye, Cyprus, NW. Morocco.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
