Anarrhinum fruticosum Desf., it is an erect, biennial or perennial herb, 30-100 cm tall, branched, glabrous or sometimes papillose. Leaves alternate, sometimes fascicled at the base of the branches, entire to shortly denticulate at the apex, 8-15 (.22) x 2- (-5) mm, lower spathulate, somewhat obtuse, upper linear lanceolate, acute. Raceme long, slender and lax. Flowers white; pedicel c. 1 mm long. Bracts akin to cauline leaves but smaller in size. Calyx 5-partite; lobes ovate, acute, entire or with slightly wavy and membranous margin, 1 mm long, almost equaling the calyx tube. Corolla 3-4 mm long; upper lip shortly bifid, lower lip 3-lobed; lobes rounded with spreading throat; tube oblong, 2.5-3 mm long. Stamens included longer ones 3 mm long, shorter ones 2 mm long; anthers deep blue. Stigma ± emarginated. Capsule sub rounded sub emarginated, glabrous, c. 2 mm, seeds many, black, minute, covered with acute conical papillae.  Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Feb-Apr,   Vern:————–,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is Algeria, Morocco, SE. Spain?.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
