Globularia arabica Jaub. & Spach, it is a woody shrub, 30-40 cm tall, young branches and leaves covered with minute calcareous dots. Leaves alternate, in older branches sometimes clustered at nodes obovate, obovate lanceolate, spathulate, up to 21 mm x 8 mm, entire, mucronate, sometimes slightly lobed, glabrous. Heads terminal, bracts imbricate, ovate, and entire, 4.5-5.5 x 1.5 mm acuminate, covered with white spreading hairs. Calyx c. 5 mm long with linear lobes, pilose with white spreading hairs; tube c. 1 mm long. Corolla c. 7-8 mm long; outer lip 3 lobed, inner lip bilobed, ± similar as in Globularia alypum L., Stamens 4, almost of the same size.  Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Oct-Apr,   Vern: Zariga,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is N. Africa to Lebanon and Arabian Peninsula.   Notes: Wild in Libya, medicinal plant, endangered Plant in Libya.
