Anagyris foetida L., it is a shrub up to 1-3 m tall, branched almost from the base, with erect or ascending branches, younger branches appressed-pubescent or tomentose. Leaves alternate, petiolate, 3 ,foliolate, stipules tomentose, united at least up to half their length, leaflets 3-8 cm long, usually elliplic or lanceolate, sessile, entire, glabrous above, pubescent beneath. Flowers yellow, 1.5-) cm long. pediccls as long as or shorlcr than calyx, somewhat elongating in fruit, calyx appressed-puhescent with triangular-teeth, sometimes blackish-green. Keel twice or more as long as calyx, standard c. half as long as keel. Obcordate, often with a blackish spot. Pods (3-) R-14 x 1.2-2 cm. broadly linear, pendulous, straight to arcuate, tapering at both ends. acuminate, usually undulate at margin, glahrous, brownish. Seeds 2-6, reniform, compressed, violet.  Life Form: Ph,   Flowering in: Feb-Mar,   Vern: Karrob Kalb,   Phytochoria: MED+SA, The native range of this species is Medit. to Arabian Peninsula.   Notes: Wild in Libya, medicinal plant.
