Astragalus arpilobus Kar. & Kir. // Infraspecifics: Astragalus arpilobus ssp. hauarensis (Boiss.) Podlech / Homotypic Synonyms: Astragalus hauarensis Boiss,  it is an annual herb  up to 25 (-30) cm long, prostrate to ascending, whitish-canescent. Leaves 2.5-10 cm long, stipules triangular-acute, 2-4 mm long, leaflets 3-9, elliptic-oblong to broadly elliptic, truncate or retuse, appressed pubescent, 5-15 mm long. Peduncles shorler than subtending Ieaves, with 3-5-flowered terminal, Iax racemes. Flower 10-13 mm long, white or purple, pedicels  1.5 mm long, bracts minute, hyaline. Calyx 5-8 mm long, tubular, with teeth shorter than tube, white- and appressed-hirsute. Corolla almost twice as long as calyx. Pods (12-) 15-30 (-35) x 3-4 mm. semi-circular, ± cylindrical, tapering at both ends. ending in a short macro and covered with both short-appressed and long preading hairs, almost bilocular, valves separating at maturity, 12-20 seeded.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Jan-Mar,   Vern:—————–,   Phytochoria: SS, The native range of this species is N. Africa to Xinjiang and Socotra.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
