Ebenus pinnata Aiton,  it is a perennial herb, woody at base, white silky, hairy, up to 40 (-60) cm tall, ascending to erect, the leaflets 5-11, linear-oblong or linear-lanceolate, up to 20 x 4 mm, obtuse to acute at apices, minutely mucronulate. Stipules about as long as the leaflet but usually broader, brownish, 0-3-lobed or dentate at the apices. Peduncles up to 4 times as long as the subtending leaves. Flowering heads ovoid, dense, many-flowered, villous, and bracteate. Flowers pink with linear plumose calyx teeth, up to 12 (-15) mm long. Corolla only 5-6 mm long. Pods ovoid, membranous, included.   Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in:—————,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is N. Africa.   Notes: Wild in Libya, a rare species, confined to the N.W. arid parts of Libya.
