Gagea trinervia (Viv.) Greuter , it is a bulbous geophyte, bulb small, ovoid to sub globular, 0.5-1 cm in diameter, tunics coriaceous. Basal leaves 2-4, narrowly linear. 7-15 x 0.2-0.4 cm. Scape 10-25 cm long, with 3-5 short alternate linear leaves, 1-3 cm long. Flowers 1-3 per plant, pedicels, 5-10 mm long. Perianth funnel-shaped, tepals ± spatulate c. 10 2 mm, white in colour with 3-5 reddish nerves, filaments c. 5 mm long, anthers 2-5 mm long. Ovary oblong with short style, 2.5-3.2 mm, stigma ± trilobed. Capsule narrowly-elliptical, obtuse. Seeds ± triangular, brownish in in colour. Life Form: G, Flowering in: Mar-May, Vern:—————, Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Sicilia, NE. Libya. Notes: Wild in Libya.
