| Geranium columbinum L., it is an annual herb, strewn with applied hairs. Stems 10 to 40 cm, weak. Leaves orbicular, palmatized, with 5 to 7 segments cut almost to the petiole in linear lobes. Flowers purpurine, veined, medium, biflorous peduncles, much longer than the leaves; pedicels 5 to 6 times longer than the calyx. Sepals spreading, ridged, curved outward at the edges, with applied hairs. Petals emarginated, barely equal to the calyx, with a short, ciliate tab, Stamens with slightly ciliated filaments. Mericarps dorsally ± keeled, c. 3.5-4 mm long, very sparsely appressed stiff hairy to glabrous, not wrinkled, beak 1-2 cm long, appressed stiff, hairy. Seeds subglobose, c. 2 mm in diameter, reticulately pitted. Life Form: Th, Flowering in: Mar-Apr, Vern:————–, Phytochoria: ES+MED+IT, The native range of this species is Europe to N. Iran. Notes: Wild in Libya.
