Hypecoum aequilobum Viv., it is an annual, glabrous, subglaucous herb, with branches up to 35 cm long, ascending without cauline leaves (except those below the inflorescence). Basal leaves 10-12 cm long, petiolate, 2-pinnatisect with pinnatifid segments; leaves below the (1-) 2-3-flowered inflorescences, multifid, sessile with linear-filirorm segments. Flower yellow, outer petals 10-11 mm long, 3-lobed with a conspicuous claw; lobes broad, ± equal or the middle one slightly larger; inner petal c. 9 mm long, long clawed with ± equal, 3, linear-oblong lobes or the middle lobes slightly larger with revolute-fimbriate margins. Stamens filaments dilated at the base; anthers linear, c. 2 mm long, slightly mucronate or bimucronate at the apex (connective slightly projecting). Fruits ± arcuate, erect, cylindrical, 20-30 x 1.5 mm, hardly or not torulose; style distinct, persistent with revolute stigmas.
