Lavandula coronopifolia Poir., it is a  evergreen subshrub up to 1 m high, very erect and branched. Older stems and branches have brown or reddish-brown, slightly fissured bark. Small quadrangular branches, very long and thin, lanceolate, reddish. Leaves are bi-pinnate (twice divided into linear sections), with segments not tapering at the base, glabrous or sinuous, opposite, few in number. The inflorescence is long (7-15 cm) and the flowers are arranged in pairs, sometimes very far apart. It does not have a petal-shaped tuft at the top. Each flower bears an oval-shaped shell shorter than half the calyx. The calyx is tubular and oval in shape, with five small teeth. Corolla dark blue or pale blue, tubular, shallowly lobed. The fruit is small and enclosed within a permanent calyx.  Life Form: Ch,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern:—————-,   Phytochoria: SA+SZ+IT, The native range of this species is Cape Verde to S. Iran.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
