Linaria haelava (Forssk.) Delile / Heterotypic Synonyms: Linaria laxiflora ssp. calcarlongum Qaiser, it is a glaucescent annual, glabrous, except the glandular hairy inflorescence. Stems several, 5-20 (-25) cm long. Lower leaves opposite or in whorls of 3-4; cauline ones alternate, linear, somewhat fleshy, 10-30 (-35) x 1-2 mm, often revolute. Raceme quite dense, becoming elongated in fruit. Bract linear, c. 5 mm long; pedicel 2.5-2 (-2.5) mm long, slightly increasing in fruit. Calyx glandular hairy; lobes oblong, acute, 34 mm long, somewhat narrowed at the base. Corolla yellow or pale violet, 15-25 mm long; lower lip broad, palate always yellow; spur slender, acute straight, 15-20 mm long. Capsule subglobose, almost equaling the calyx, glabrous. Seeds small, pale brown, reniform, tuberculate.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Jan-Apr ,   Vern: Ain El-Gallus,   Phytochoria: SA, The native range of this species is Libya to Syria and Arabian Peninsula.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
