| Lotus ornithopodioides L., it is an annual plant 10-40 cm, pubescent, erect or ascending. Leaflets broad, rhomboidal in corners, stipules broadly ovate-rhomboid, slightly extending beyond the petiole. Yellow flowers, quite small, 2-5 on peduncles barely extending beyond the leaf. Calyx with 2 lips, with unequal teeth, not keeled at the top, the sides of the lower lip much shorter and obtuse, orbicular standard, hull curved at a right angle. Corolla 7-10 mm. Pods splayed, 30-50 mm long, broadly linear, compressed, bumpy, arched, reddish brown, with numerous seeds.
