Orobanche lavandulacea Rchb.

Orobanche lavandulacea Rchb., it is a holoparasitic annual, very similar to the Orobanche mutelii F.W.Schultz, but taller, flowers intensely blue or violet-blue tipped. Calyx 6-8 mm long with teeth equalling or slightly longer than tube, triangular with subulate apex, often bluish in colour. Corolla 16-22 mm long, curved above with divergent lips. Anthers hairy with crisped hairs, filaments glabrous or sparsely hairy, inserted, c. 6 mm above base of corolla.  Life Form: Pa,   Flowering in: Apr-May,   Vern:—————- ,   Phytochoria: MED,  Notes: Wild in Libya.
