Orobanche pubescens d Urv. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Orobanche versicolor F.w. Schultz, it is a holoparasite perennial plant, 10-50 cm tall, hairy with crisped glandular whitish hairs, simple, erect with sub curved spike; scales 10-25 mm, oblong to linear-lanccolate. Spikes 4-20 cm long, obtuse; bracts as long as or exceeding the corolla, lanccolate, acuminate. Calyx segments almost free or connate below, unequal 8-16 mm long, with linear-lanccolate to filiform teeth, at least twice as long as the connote basal portion. Corolla 10-20 mm long, villous, pale yellow, tinged with violet above, erect, ± sub curved, tubular with short lobes. Stamens inserted.3-4 mm above the- base of corolla, hairy below, glabrous above; anthers glabrous, Stigma violed. Capsules 8-10 mm long. Life Form: Pa, Flowering in: Mar-May, Vern: Enum, Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Central & E. Medit. to Caucasus. Notes: Wild in Libya.
