Plantago crassifolia Forssk., it is a perennial, acaulescent herb. Leaves fleshy, narrow-linear, 3-nerved, entire or remotely dentate, glabrous or sparsely papillose or hirsute at sheathing base. Seapes longer than the leaves spikes cylindrical, somewhat lax, 1.5-5 cm long. Bracts ovate, concave, narrow margined. Sepals obtuse, broad margined carina of the posterior lobes green, expanded into a narrow scarious margin. Corolla tube apprcssed-hirsute, lobes ovate, acute. Capsule 2-celled, each cell 1-seeded.  Life Form: H,   Flowering in: Mar-Jul,   Vern:————,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Medit.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
