Plantago squarrosa Murray, it is an annual herb, 20-30 cm tall, decumbent or ascending, branching from neck, papillose iry. Leaves 2-4 (8) cm x 1-3 (-5) mm, linear to linear-oblong, freshly. Scapes axillary 1-5 mm; spikes 0.5-2 cm long, oblong or cylindrical. Lowest 2 bracts 5-10 mm long, very narrowly scarious margined, lanceolate-caudate, recurved, with lateral veins al the base. Upper bracts 3-4 mm, obovate-oblong, as long as the, calyx or longer. Sepals unequal, the anterior oblong-spathulate, the posterior 2.5-3 mm long, ovate, keeled. Corolla tube 3.5-4 mm, lobes 2 mm, ovate-oblong, acute. Capsule 2-2.5 mm long. Seeds c. 2 mm long, cymbiform, ovate-elliptic. Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Apr-May,   Vern: krah-digiagia,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is E. Medit.  Notes: Wild in Libya, usually found in dry and sandy places.
