Ruscus aculeatus L.,  it is a rhizomatous geophyte, Grows to length of 80 cm with stiff branches bearing cladodes (stems modified to look like leaves) and true leaves less than 5 mm., Life Form: G, Flowering in: Feb-Apr, Vern: ——, Phytochoria: MED,  The native range of this species is Macaronesia to Medit., W. & S. Central Europe to Caucasus.,  Notes: Wild in Libya, medicinal plant.
