Utricularia gibba L., it is an aquatic, floating herb, stolons radiating from the base of the scape, up to 10, Leaves unequally forked from the base, the segments capillary and again 1-3 times forked, bladdery traps 1-1.5 mm, replacing one of the leaf-segments althe point of bifurcation. Scapes filiform, 2·8 cm long, 1-4-flowercd, bracts 1 mm long, pediecls 2-10 mm long, erect in fruit. Corolla 5-7 mm long, yellow, often with brown or purplish veins, variable in size, upper lip 3-4 mm wide, broadly ovate, obtuse, obscurely 3-crcnate, lower lip with prominent 2-gibbous palate, entire, about as long as the narrowly conical spur.
