Vicia lutea L., it is an annual herb, climbing, 20-50 cm, little hairy, slender.  Leaves with 5-7 pairs of linear-oblong, obtuse and mucronate leaflets, rowing tendrils; stipules entire or bilobed. Flowers pale yellow or tinged with purple, large, axillary, solitary or geminate, sub sessile. Calyx glabrous, bell-shaped, with very unequal teeth, the 2 upper ones short and connivent, the lower one longer than the tube, very hairless standard. Pods 25-30 mm by 8-9, oblong, stipitate, are bristling with white swollen-tubercular hairs at the base, pendulous and blackish when ripe, globose seeds.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: May-Jul,   Vern:————–,   Phytochoria: MED+IT, The native range of this species is E. Central Europe to Medit. and Iran.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
