Vicia parviflora Cav. / Heterotypic Synonyms: Vicia laxiflora Brot., it is an annual herbs. Leaves with 2–5 linear leaflets, sometimes almost threadlike. Racemes provided with 1–4 flowers, peduncles twice as long as or longer than the axillary leaf. Calyx with uneven teeth, shorter than the tube. Corolla c. 7 mm, pale violet. Pods oblong, glabrous, straw-colored and provided with 2–7 seeds. Seeds ± spherical, 1.69–1.84 mm in diameter, smooth, greenish-ocher in color, densely mottled with black. Oval-elliptic thread, covering c. 8% of the seed contour. Prominent lens, located at c. 0.7 mm of the thread.  Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-Jun,   Vern:—————,   Phytochoria: MED,  The native range of this species is Canary Islands, Madeira, S. Great Britain to Medit.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
