Cuscuta monogyna Vahl , it is a holoparasitic climber annual plant. Stems up to 4 mm in diameter, greenish or pinkish and often mottled, generally highly branched, smooth or tuberculated. Inflorescence in spiciform cymes, without pedicels. Flower up to 4.5 mm long, pentamerous. Calyx obconical or campanulate, approximately the same length or longer than the corolla tube, with sepals up to 2.7 mm, free or welded, smooth or tuberculated, whitish or greenish, with a tube of 0-0.3 mm ; lobes 1.8-2.4 × 1.9-2.7 mm, ovate, obtuse or subacute, with somewhat wavy margin, thickened on the back into a longitudinal carina usually tuberculate, widely imbricate. Corolla up to 4.1 mm, tubular or urceolate, gradually narrowing towards the base of the lobes where it forms a throat, with subpapillous, pink epidermal cells, with a tube up to 2.5 mm, longer than the lobes; lobes 1.3-1.6 × 1.2-1.5 mm, ovate or elliptical.  Life Form: Pa,   Flowering in: Mau-Aug,   Vern:————,   Phytochoria: MED+ES+IT, The native range of this species is Europe to Siberia and Pakistan, NW. Africa.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
