Juncus punctorius L.f., it is a herb perennial, 0,4-2,2 m tall, loosely caespitose; rhizome long, creeping. Stem rigid, 0,3-0,8 m tall, cataphylls 2-3, 1 cauline leaf 20-40 cm long, in upper part of stem. Inflorescence a panicle of 10-80 heads, compact, semiglobose to globose, each with 8-30 flowers. Capsule ovoid, apiculate, 3-angled, c. 0,5 mm long.  Life Form: G,   Flowering in: Apr-Jun,   Vern:————-,   Phytochoria: SA+SZ+S.Afr, The native range of this species is N. Africa, Eritrea to S. Africa, Arabian Peninsula, S. Iran and W. Pakistan.   Notes: Wild in Libya.
