Najas marina L., it is a hydro annual submerged, aquatic herb, 10-20 cm long, repeatedly and forkedly branched, stems smooth or ± spinose-dentate near the top, rather stiff and brittle levees up to  4.5 x 0.5 cm. strongly spinose-dentate and ± toothed on the back, sheaths  entire, not ciliate. Flowers dioccious, male sapathaceous, with 4-thecous anthers. Female ones naked. Fruit 3-8 mm long, ellipsoid or ovoid.  Life Form: Hy,   Flowering in:——————-,   Vern:—————-,   Phytochoria: Cosm, The native range of this species is Cosmopolitan.  Notes: Wild in Libya.
