Ononis viscosa L. // Infraspecific: Ononis viscose  ssp. viscosa,  it is an annual herb up to 60 (-80) cm tall, erect, bristling with long, spreading white hairs mixed with glandular hairs; leaves petiolate, the lower and upper ones simple, the middle ones trifoliate, with oval or oblong leaflets, toothed, the terminal petiolate, stipules lanceolate, extending beyond the petiole. Yellow flowers, quite small, axillary, in long, loose, leafy clusters, peduncles filiform, articulated, longer than the leaf, with an edge 1-2 times longer than the pedicel. Calyx with linear lobes, three-nerved, 3-4 times longer than the tube. Corolla slightly exceeding the calyx. Pods equaling to much exceeding the calyx, not or hardly pendulous. (6-) 10-20 It 3-4 (.5) mm. linear- oblong, densely glandular hairy, few to many-seeded. Seeds yellow-brown, 1-2 mm in diam, acutely tuberculate.   Life Form: Th,   Flowering in: Mar-May,   Vern:————,   Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Canary Islands, Medit. to Iran.    Notes: Wild in Libya.
