| Prasium majus L., it is a branching shrub from 50 cm to 1 meter, glabrescent, with numerous spreading branches. Leaves petiolate, oval, heart-shaped or truncated at the base, toothed, strongly veined, shiny above. Whitish flowers, axillary, geminate, close together at the top of the branches. Calyx open bell-shaped, membranous, with 10 ribs, with 2 lips, the upper tridentate, the lower bifid, with teeth all ovate-mucronate. Bi labiate corolla 17-20 mm, white or lilac., with tube included and provided inside with a ring of hairs, with upper lip in entire oval helmet, the lower one with 3 lobes, the middle one larger. Stamens parallel-close together under the helmet, anthers with divaricate compartments. carpels a little fleshy and united at the base, black. Life Form: Ch, Flowering in: Mar-Jun , Vern:—————–, Phytochoria: MED, The native range of this species is Macaronesia, Medit. Notes: Wild in Libya.
